Alessio Lisci: "The fans were crucial for today's win"
The Rojillo boss addressed the media following his team's home victory over Rayo Vallecano.
Osasuna head coach Alessio Lisci addressed the media after his team's 2-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano at El Sadar.
"I am happy because we were able to hold it together," Lisci said. "The team adjusted well, and those are my takeaways, knowing we still have to improve in some areas."
When asked about the performance in such a challenging match, Lisci noted, "When we were ahead on the scoreboard, we tried to apply more pressure on the flanks, and that worked out well. We controlled the game, and I'm pleased with our defensive efforts."
Lisci also emphasized the role of the fans, saying, "Today, the fans were incredible. I have no words to describe it. At one point, we weren't at our best, but they cheered us on, pushed us, and gave us the energy we needed. They were crucial for today's win."
